Tottenham Hotspur host Slavia Prague tonight aiming to take a step closer towards automatic qualification for the last 16 of the UEFA Champions League .
Thomas Frank’s men ended a five-game winless run in all competitions on Saturday with a 2-0 home win over his former club Brentford.
Ahead of this evening’s visit of Slavia, DAZN News reporter Ross Heppenstall assesses five key angles surrounding the game.
Heaven knows Frank needed a win at the weekend after going into the Brentford game amid mounting speculation over his future.
Spurs had won just once in their eight previous matches prior to hosting the Bees.
But goals from Richarlison and Xavi Simons – his first for the club – gave Tottenham just their fourth Premier League home win of 2025.
It was just their second under Frank and their first since the opening day of the season against Burnley, ending their six-game run without a home victory.
A perfect way to warm up for their Champions League with Slavia Prague.

Archie Gray, 19, underlined his precocious talent with a number of stellar displays last season as Tottenham won the Europa League.
Ange Postecoglou’s team was decimated by injuries at times and Gray stepped up to the plate after joining from Leeds United.
This season under Frank the versatile teenager has been in and out of the side but impressed when given a chance.
On Saturday against Brentford, he showcased his class in central midfield to stake a claim to start tonight against Slavia.
Completing 31 out of the 33 passes he made, Gray was the most accurate passer on the pitch out of those who played 45 minutes or more against Keith Andrews' side.

Mohammed Kudus cost Spurs a cool £55million when they signed him from West Ham in the summer.
The Ghana forward, 25, has registered just two goals in 20 games, but has contributed five Premier League assists.
Kudus, who could line up against England at next summer's World Cup, insists he is ready to raise his game to the next level.
He said: “I’m still getting used to everything.
Even though the demands are high, and obviously there’s no time because you’ve got to perform immediately after joining a club because that’s what this league is about.
“I’ve been settling smoothly so far, but there’s still a lot more to do and to show.”
Tonight would be a good place to start.

Much has been made of Tottenham’s errant home form in 2025, but in the Champions League they have a 100% record there this term.
Wins over Villarreal and Copenhagen at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, coupled with draws at Bodo/Glimt and Monaco, have left Spurs with eight points from their opening five games.
Having suffered their first defeat in a 5-3 loss at reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain last time out, the onus is on Frank’s men to beat Slavia tonight.
They should have more than enough quality to do so – Slavia are winless are so far.

Frank was this week forced to answer questions about claims that midfielder Yves Bissouma was filmed inhaling nitrous oxide.
The Sun published footage which it alleged showed the 29-year-old Mali international inhaling the substance, also known as laughing gas or NOS.
Bissouma, a £30m signing from Brighton in 2022, was banned for one game by Spurs after being pictured inhaling nitrous oxide in 2023.
Frank said: “It’s an internal matter that we are dealing with at the moment and when we have dealt with that, then I will comment on it.”
Bissouma, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has not played since Frank was appointed in June.
