Aston Villa's Champions League adventure has been one of the highlights of the competition this season, however, they face a big task if it's to continue into the semi-finals.

The Villians take on Paris Saint-Germain on Tuesday night, looking to turn around a 3-1 deficit at Villa Park to progress into the last four and eliminate one of the favourites to lift the trophy.

Morgan Rogers got Unai Emery's men off to the perfect start in the first leg, but goals from Desire Doue, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Nuno Mendes have put the French champions firmly in control of the tie.

Looking ahead to the second leg, former Villa defender Stephen Warnock spoke to DAZN News, thanks to EgyptBettingSites, and he believes the Midlanders have every chance of getting a result but warned caution about how they approach the match.

"You've always got a chance because you're at home," Warnock said.

"I think the hardest part about this game is how do Villa play it? What do they do if they come out and go gung-ho against PSG? Then they leave gaps in behind and we know that forward line of Kvaratskhelia, Dembele and Doue or Barcola will find gaps in behind.

"If they sit deep and allow Paris Saint-Germain to come on them, then it's very difficult to get out and to create opportunities. So one thing we know is that Emery is very good tactically.

"I remember being at Villarreal versus Liverpool a few years back where Liverpool absolutely battered Villarreal in the first leg and I thought they don't stand a chance in the second leg away at Villarreal and suddenly they sprung such a surprise on Liverpool and Liverpool found it very difficult on the night. So he's always got ideas, he's always thinking. My concern is that Luis Enrique tactically is brilliant as well.

"I think we saw that against Liverpool. I think what you saw the other night in the reverse leg at Paris Saint-Germain, I think what Luis Enrique understood was how important that third goal was.

"He almost knew now that changes Emery's approach to the second leg and it almost draws Villa on to them and that suits Luis Enrique's team."
