Manchester City will head into the new season with a refreshed squad as they aim to reclaim their Premier League crown, but the future of Jack Grealish remains unclear.

City's record signing endured a difficult campaign last year as he struggled for form and fitness, which has led to speculation that he could leave the club this summer.

That speculation was further fuelled by Grealish not being part of this summer's Club World Cup and speaking exclusively to DAZN News, thanks to kasinoranking.com, club hero Paul Dickov believes the forward's time may be up at The Etihad.

"Yeah, it looks like he'll be going," he said.

"Obviously, Jack not being in the Club World Cup squad probably tells a story in itself. But, you know, I don't buy this thing about Jack, really, that he's been a flop at Man City.

"It's just crazy and I have arguments with people all the time about this. You know, the treble winning season, he was at the forefront of it. Jack really was the best player by a country mile and he played in all the big games.

"The season after, he struggled a little bit with injury and the last season, a bit of dip in form. But I think more so the emergence of Jeremy Doku and players like that made it difficult for him to get in.

"Jack's a fantastic kid on and off the pitch and he's a top, top player. I'm sure wherever he goes, if he does go, which it looks like, wherever he goes, he's going to be a huge asset to them because he's a top-class player.

Pep Guardiola has already been active in the summer window, bringing in four new faces last month, adding to the recruits he brought in during January.

However, Dickov believes there's still business to be done and could see more names both in and out the door at his former club.

Adding, "Pep said numerous times, at the end of last season, he likes to play with a smaller squad. Pep likes to work with 24, 25 players at an absolute maximum. And he's explained his reasons for that.

"He finds it really difficult to leave players out of the matchday squad. They feel as if they should be in there.

"So, how many are going to go out? I still expect one or two maybe to come in, which will mean there'll probably be three, maybe four going out.

"Whether it's one of the younger kids going out on loan or players who feel they should be playing going out on loan or players being sold. But I'm sure the ingoings and outgoings aren't finished yet."
