Liverpool's season has fallen into meltdown in the past five days, following Mo Salah's outburst after last weekend's draw with Leeds United.
The Premier League champions had already been enduring a dismal campaign following the disappointing defence of their title that had seen them tumble down the table, but the Egyptians' calculated comments have now thrown an even bigger shadow over the campaign.
Salah accused boss Arne Slot of 'throwing him under the bus' after benching him for the club's past three games and revealed he no longer has a relationship with the title-winning manager.

It led to the forward being left out of the squad for Tuesday night's win over Inter and with him about to fly off to take part in the African Cup of Nations for his country, there is a genuine belief we may not see Salah play for the club again and he could be sold in January.
As someone who has been spoken in the same breath as Liverpool legends such as Steven Gerrard and Kenny Dalglish, his sudden departure could signal a real black mark against his time at the club, and former Kop striker Dean Saunders believes the player has tarnished his reputation at the club.
"Once you've played for Liverpool, you're always a Liverpool player, " Saunders exclusively told DAZN News, thanks to casino insights by Online Casino Groups
"I've played for the club and it's a privilege and still I get Liverpool fans talking to me as if I'm still playing for them.
"Once you've played for them, you're part of them, but I think Mo's ruined his legacy.
"People forget in time, but they'll never forget that little bit there where he's saying the club's thrown me under the bus.
"Is he going to sit in that director's box like Ian Rush and Kenny Dalglish in the future? Or is he not bothered? It's a shame, isn't it?"

Last season, Salah was instrumental in helping Liverpool land their twentieth league title, thanks to is 34 goals that saw him scoop Player of the Year and the Golden Boot. Adding to a legacy at the club that has seen him become the club's third all-time top goalscorer.
However, despite signing a new deal with the club in April, Salah has struggled for form, leading to his removal from Slot's struggling Liverpool team.
Saunders believes he can have no complaints with being dropped, as he hasn't delivered this season.
Adding, "I would say to him, I'd rather be straight with you. When's the last time you beat the full-back? When's the last time you crossed one on someone's head?Getty Images
"When's the last time you bent one in the top corner? When's the last time you went through on goal 1v1? And when's the last time you've ripped a team to bits on your own? Which is what Mo Salah does normally every year. Look in the mirror.
"He's out of order, Mo, for what he said. He's out of order. Whether he's right, he should have just said all that in the dressing room."
