The National League, formerly known as the Conference, boasts some staggering historical statistics, with goal tallies and points totals often at abnormal levels.
Sitting between League Two and the National League North and National League South, the division is the fifth tier of English football and bridges the gap between the EFL and Non-League.
Just like all the divisions in the EFL, the National League contains 24 teams, meaning that players have 46 games to score as many goals as they can in a single season.
Over the years, the league has been graced by some of the best strikers in English football, with Jamie Vardy and Jarrod Bowen enjoying stints in the fifth tier.
Do either of the England internationals make the list of most goals scored in a single National League campaign? Here, DAZN News looks back at some astonishing numbers.

The 2022-23 National League season may go down as the greatest in its history, and it is not just because of the 42 goals scored by Notts County's Macaulay Langstaff.
Both the Magpies and Wrexham battled it out for the title, with Phil Parkinson's side edging out their rivals in an all-time classic before securing the honour on the penultimate weekend.
Wrexham's Paul Mullin went toe-to-toe with Langstaff for the Golden Boot, and while the former may have clinched automatic promotion, he could not stop Langstaff from breaking the record.
Indeed, the striker was not done there as he went on to win the League Two Golden Boot the following season by scoring 28 goals.
Paul Cuplin is something of a Conference legend.
The forward completed the irregular move from Finnish outfit GrlFK to Nuneaton Borough in 1982, and it did not take him long to break the division's goalscoring record.
In the 1983-84 season, Cuplin netted a remarkable 41 goals, but what makes his achievement even more admirable is that the division only contained 22 teams.
Given that he scored one less goal than Langstaff in fewer games, some consider his goalscoring achievement the greatest the league has ever seen.
Ricky Miller enjoyed a standout goalscoring season for Dover Athletic in 2016-17, but it is not the fact that he netted 40 times that makes his efforts eye-catching.
The striker scored an astonishing four hat-tricks throughout the campaign and even bagged four in one game as Dover hammered Braintree Town 6-1.
Despite his glut of goals, the Whites narrowly missed out on the National League play-off places.

Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney knew that if they were to get Wrexham promoted from the National League, then they would need a prolific goalscorer.
Enter Paul Mullin.
The striker scored a ridiculous 32 goals for Cambridge United during the 2020-21 League Two campaign before taking a step down to help the Red Dragons escape the Non-League.
After netting 26 goals for the Welsh club in the 2021-22 season, he then bagged 38 the following term as Wrexham lifted the National League title with a record 111 points.

After Colin Williams and Cuplin, Kim Casey became the third player in Conference history to win back-to-back Golden Boots.
Having scored 36 goals in the 1985-86 season - a joint record at the time - he then went on to bag 38 times the following campaign with Kidderminster Harriers.
Not only did Casey secure the individual accolade, but he also lifted the FA Trophy at the end of the season with the Harriers.
