Another Premier League matchweek has ended, giving us a better picture of what each of the 20 teams look like in this still young season.

The second round of action brought some surprising results, along with a couple of blowouts and more concerns for the early relegation candidates.

We'll try to make sense of it all in the latest power rankings, which are not meant to look at the overall picture, but rather to provide a snapshot based on current form, strength of opposition and other factors.

With two matches in the books, here are DAZN News' power rankings after Matchweek 2.

Premier League Power Rankings following Matchweek 2

Rio Ngumoha, Liverpool@LFC

1. Liverpool (up 1)

That's two matches where the Reds required late heroics to seal the victory. All that matters is the three points though, and Liverpool have enough championship pedigree to find ways to win consistently.

Next match: Aug. 31 vs. Arsenal

2. Arsenal (up 1)

The Gunners were big winners in their first home match of the campaign, dismantling Leeds United 5-0. They also got Viktor Gyokeres up and running with two goals, which could bode well for the future.

Next match: Aug. 31 at Liverpool

3. Chelsea (up 3)

The Blues shook off an early deficit at West Ham to win by four goals, with Estevao helping lead the charge in Cole Palmer's absence.

Chelsea's deep pool of attacking threats were not going to be held down for too long.

Next match: Aug. 30 vs. Fulham

4. Manchester City (down 3)

Memories of a dominant first game were erased thanks to yet another loss at home to Tottenham, the third straight time City have failed to defeat Spurs at the Etihad.

The North London side clearly has a hold on Pep Guardiola's men, who now look to bounce back before the international break.

Next match: Aug. 31 at Brighton

5. Nottingham Forest (down 1)

Forest performed well in their 1-1 draw at Crystal Palace, but only managed one shot on target despite controlling most of the play.

Next match: Aug. 31 vs. West Ham

6. Brentford (up 3)

The Bees bounced back from an opening weekend loss as they defeated Aston Villa 1-0 on Saturday. While the result was a positive one, the performance was not much to boast about.

Next match: Aug. 30 at Sunderland

7. Aston Villa (no change)

Villa's underwhelming start to the campaign continued with a Matchweek 2 loss at Brentford. Unai Emery's side have yet to score a goal, which may be indicative of a deeper problem.

Next match: Aug. 31 vs. Crystal Palace

8. Newcastle (down 3)

A heart-breaking end to their game against Liverpool on Monday means Newcastle are still looking for their first victory of the season. At least they've figured out how to score without Alexander Isak.

Next match: Aug. 30 at Leeds United

9. Fulham (down 1)

Two matches, two 1-1 draws for the Cottagers. At some point theiy are either going to win or lose, but not yet.

Next match: Aug. 30 at Chelsea

10. Tottenham (up 4)

Don't look now, but Spurs have earned six points from their first two matches. Tottenham continued their Man City bogeyman routine in Matchweek 2, earning another victory at the Etihad.

Next match: Aug. 30 vs. Bournemouth

11. Brighton (down 1)

The Seagulls fell 2-0 at Everton in the first ever Premier League match at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and they are now winless in their first two matches of the young campaign.

Next match: Aug. 31 vs. Manchester City

12. Bournemouth (no change)

The Cherries claimed their first win of the season with a 1-0 result against 10-man Wolves, but their overall dominance probably deserved another goal or two.

Next match: Aug. 30 at Tottenham

13. Everton (no change)

No one wants to open a new stadium with a loss, and the Toffees avoided that scenario with goals on either side of half-time as they defeated Brighton 2-0 at Hill Dickinson Stadium. Jack Grealish's brilliance was on full display, and will be a key for Everton this season.

Next match: Aug. 30 at Wolves

14. Manchester United (up 2)

The Red Devils were their own worst enemy in their 1-1 draw at Fulham over the weekend, as they squandered an opportunity to claim their first win of the season. Bruno Fernandes will be having nightmares about his failed penalty kick.

Next match: Aug. 30 vs. Burnley

15. Crystal Palace (down 4)

After opening the season with a scoreless draw, they followed that up with a 1-1 stalemate against visiting Nottingham Forest. They've proven themselves a tough, stingy side, but they're still missing the goals needed to convert draws into wins.

Next match: Aug. 31 at Aston Villa

16. Sunderland (up 1)

Their dream start to the Premier League season came to a halt with their two-goal loss at Burnley.

Next match: Aug. 30 vs. Brentford

17. Leeds United (up 1)

Leeds endeavoured to not alter their playing style and got humbled 5-0 by Arsenal, but the Gunners will likely run over many opponents this season.

Next match: Aug. 30 vs. Newcastle

18. Burnley (up 2)

A match in the second week against another newly promoted team was just what the doctor ordered for Burnley, as they ran out 2-0 winners over Sunderland.

Next match: Aug. 30 at Manchester United

19. Wolves (no change)

Still without a goal this season, Wolves haven't yet shown a reason why opposing sides should be scared to face them.

Next match: Aug. 30 vs. Everton

20. West Ham (down 5)

Eight goals allowed and one goal scored in their first two matches. It's fair to say the Hammers have started as poorly as possible, and the immediate outlook dosn't look particularly rosy.

Next match: Aug. 31 at Nottingham Forest
