As the 2025/2026 edition of the Premier League approaches its midway point, now seems as good a time as ever to break down its top performers.
As always, certain players have risen above the rest, combining consistency, tactical adaptability and outright star quality to earn themselves some recognition.
From league debutants to household names, the list of players who have made this starting XI have starred for their respective teams - whether it be them carrying a sinking ship, or proppeling their team to new heights.
So the question remains, who has made our Premier League team of the season so far?
When it comes to Premier League football, DAZN News has all the information.
Bought in the summer for a bargain price of £9m, the Dutch shot-stopper has been instrumental in Sunderland's odds-defying return to the Premier League.Michael Regan/Getty Images
Stats are not needed to recognise Roefs's brilliance, but so far this season he has accumulated a save percentage of 76.4% - second only to Emiliano Martinez, who has played far fewer games.

For all the praise Arsenal's backline gets, it still feels as if Jurrien Timber still goes slightly under the radar.
Comfortably the most consistent right back in the league, the Dutchman possesses technical quality as well as defenisve prowess.
But perhaps the Ajax academy product's most crucial asset this season has been his availability - while Arsenal have been suffering injuries across their backline in a legacy-defining season for Mikel Arteta, Jurrien Timber has remained ever-present, as well as ever-classy.

Whilst Gabriel is still sidelined, his performances before his injury are more than enough to earn him a spot on this team.
Widely regarded this season as the Premier League's stand-out centre back, the Brazilian is just as dangerous going forward as he is at the back, providing three goal contributions in his 11 Premier League starts.
Expected to return in January, Arsenal fans will be itching for the new year. If Gabriel hits his pre-injury levels, he may just guide Arsenal to their first league title in 21 years.
We know what you are thinking - what on earth is a Spurs player doing on this list?Getty Images
But no matter what your opinions are on Tottenham's performances this season, one thing which can not be questioned is 'Cuti' Romero's undeniable class.
Romero perfectly fits the modern centre-back mould of having to be good at everything. Like Gabriel, he has three goal contributions this season, one of them being an outrageous bicycle kick against Newcastle.
Whenever Romero is available, he makes Spurs better by tenfold and consistently stands above the rest of his underperforming team.
A bit like Timber, Calafiori's class sometimes gets left in the shadow of the notorious Saliba-Gabriel centre-back Partnership.(Getty Images)
However, he has simply been fantastic, and is such an intelligent player - the Italian is never out of position and always joins the attack at the correct time. Incredibly solid one-on-one and composed on the ball at all times, Riccardo Calafiori has displayed these qualities throughout the season and has earned himself the left back position in our star XI, beating some stern competition in Marc Cucurella.

To some, this statement willl not go down well, but Moises Caicedo is genuinely one of the best midfielders in the world, never mind the Premier League.
Many consider him a ball-winning engine, and whilst he is that, he is also a sublime playmaker, often starting Chelsea's attacks.
His biggest challenge remains staying on the pitch, as it is no coincidence that Chelsea picked up two back-to-back losses against bottom-half opposition when he was serving a three-match suspension.

Arsenal's midfield general. England's midfield general.
There is not much to say about Declan Rice and his sublime season, which is not already known.
Starting as a centre back for West Ham, the lad from Kingston has grown into one of Europe's true all-rounders, finding ways to elevate his game in aspects people would perhaps not think possible.
Already picking up five goal contributions this season and having a pass completion rate which hovers at around 90%, Rice will be leading the Gunners' charge for silverware this season.

As always, Bruno Fernandes has been Manchester United's stand-out player this season and has lead the club in their push for European football.
Fernandes often finds himself at the top of the creative output charts, and this season is no different.
Bruno has the most assists in the league this season (seven) and he has also created the most chances (50).
In a United side which, to many has become known as the most unpredictable team in the league, Fernandes's class has remained easy to foresee.

Antoine Semenyo possesses the ability to be a direct goal threat as well as a creative catalyst.
Bournemouth's dynamic forward has been sensational this season, providing ten goal contributions so far in the latest edition of the Premier League.
Although the right winger for this eleven, Semenyo has played across the front three and excelled wherever and whenever.
Whilst Bournemouth can be delighted with the Ghanaians' performances, they may also be concerned, As with the January transfer window fast-approaching, the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Manchester United have all been rumoured to consider popping his £65m release clause.
If you said at the beginning of the Premier League season that Jeremy Doku would be one of its best performers, not even City fans would believe you.Michael Regan/Getty Images
The tricky winger struggled in his first two seasons at the Citizens and looked set for a move out of the club.
But this campaign, he has been electric, and his turnaround astonishing. Doku has comfortably been the Premier League's best left winger this season.
His performance against Liverpool back in November was arguably the best individual display any player in the Premier League has produced this season, and he has displayed similar throughout, creating the most big chances in England's top division (nine).
Last, and certainly not least - the Norwegian goal-machine.Michael Regan/Getty Images
This season, Haaland has continued to rewrite goal records, becoming the fastest ever player to reach 100 Premier League goals, doing it in a staggering 111 matches.
We are not even at the halfway point of the season yet, and City's bagsman has already netted 17 times.
Not only is he this season's best striker, but he has also comfortably been the league's best player, earning himself DAZN's 'MVP' badge of honour.
