Which content access technology is used on iOS devices?

DAZN uses industry-standard technologies to protect copyrighted content and ensure compliance with intellectual property rights. Read on to know about the systems in place for iOS devices. 

Technology overview 

• Content owners use Microsoft PlayReady™ to protect copyrighted material.
• Your iOS device employs PlayReady to access PlayReady-protected and WMDRM-protected content. 

Key compliance requirements   

• Use/distribution of PlayReady technology outside DAZN requires a license from Microsoft.
• If your device fails to enforce content usage restrictions, Microsoft may revoke its ability to access PlayReady-protected content.
• Please note that revocation does not affect unprotected content and content secured by other content access technologies. 

PlayReady upgrades 

• Content owners may require PlayReady upgrades to access their content.
• If you decline an upgrade, you cannot access content that requires the update.
• Example: If a new content on DAZN requires the latest PlayReady version, you will need to upgrade before you can watch the content.

• DAZN adheres to content owner requirements to maintain responsibility and service integrity.
• Revocation applies only to PlayReady-protected content, not other media.
