The 2025 NFL regular season kicks off with an NFC East clash between the defending champions the Philadelphia Eagles and their long-time rivals, the Dallas Cowboys.
It's a historic matchup to kick off the regular season, and it will be interesting to see how the Cowboys adjust after allowing star defensive end Micha Parsons to be traded to the Green Bay Packers.
Here's everything you need to know ahead of Eagles vs Cowboys.
The first game of the 2025 NFL regular season will kick off at 8:20pm local time in Philadelphia on Thursday, September 4.
Unfortunately for fans in the UK, this will be the early hours of Friday morning with kick off scheduled for 1:20am.
The game will take place at Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the Philadelphia Eagles.
The Cowboys have not won in Philadelphia since a 27-20 victory in November 2018.
The Cowboys struggle to generate pressure on Jalen Hurts without the elite talents of Parsons at their disposal, allowing the Eagles quarterback the time to find A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith for chunk yardage.
Dak Prescott and Lamb struggle to get going at first, but despite improving as the game wears on, it's too little, too late for Dallas.
An efficient performance from Barkley helps the Eagles control possession, and Zack Baun, Jalen Carter, and Quinyon Mitchell pick up where they left off in 2024 as the Eagles' defense closes the game out.
Eagles 31 - 20 Cowboys
