Considering they are the only winless team in the NFL, the question was when the New York Jets would pull the plug on quarterback Justin Fields.

That time is now, as on Sunday during their Week 7 game against the Carolina Panthers, which you can watch with NFL Game Pass on DAZN (excl. the US and China), the Jets replaced Fields with Tyrod Taylor coming out of halftime as they were trailing the Panthers 13-3. Fields went 6 of 12 for 46 yards and was sacked three times. Overall, the Jets only managed six first downs and 97 total yards in the opening half. Last week, Fields was sacked nine times and had -10 yards net passing yards.

During the offseason, the Jets had signed Fields to a two-year, $40 million contract. This season, Fields has gone 80 of 123 for 799 yards with four touchdown passes, along with 235 yards rushing and three touchdowns.

Taylor hasn't done much better in the second half, going 8 of 16 for 107 yards and an interception.

The Jets still trail 13-3 with about seven minutes left to play in the game.
