The Minnesota Vikings remained busy on day two of free agency, agreeing to sign defensive tackle Jonathan Allen and guard Will Fries.

They are also reportedly close on a deal with defensive tackle Jonathan Hargrave, per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero.

NFL insider Adam Schefter revealed that Allen will join the Vikings on a three-year, $60 million contract.

ESPN's Jeremy Fowler reported that Fries will be signed to a five-year, $88 million deal with $34 million guaranteed.

Allen, a first-round pick in 2017, was deemed surplus to requirements by the Washington Commanders and was released last week.

The two-time Pro Bowler amassed 38 sacks between 2018 and 2023 but missed nine games in 2024 due to injury.

If he can recapture his 2024 form, and Hargrave is signed, the duo would form a fearsome interior presence on the defensive line.

With talented edge rushers like Andrew Van Ginkel, Jonathan Greenard, and Dallas Turner set to continue wreaking havoc from the edge, Minnesota's pass rush unit could be dominant in 2025.

As a seventh-round pick for the Indianapolis Colts in 2021, Fries surpassed expectations to become a starter in his second year.

The 26-year-old fractured his tibia in week five of the 2024 season but, until that point, was playing at a high level, allowing only two sacks in five games.

The signings of Allen and Fries follow the extensions given to cornerback Byron Murphy Jr. and running back Aaron Jones.

Minnesota has also agreed to deals with center Ryan Kelly and cornerback Isaiah Rodgers.
