Aaron Rodgers was full of praise for one particular player.

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has labelled wide receiver and teammate Garrett Wilson 'a special talent' ahead of the new season.

Rodgers was speaking to NBC during the Jets' loss to the Cleveland Browns in this year's Hall of Fame game and is excited for what the offense could produce as they look to reach the playoffs for the first time since 2010.

But Wilson is the player which stood out to Rodgers the most and he believes the second-year wide receiver can thrive in the NFL for a long time to come.

"I think pretty quick, I think they are smart guys, talented guys and that’s what we did a lot during the offseason, during the OTA time was a lot of conversation what we’re trying to do, what we’re trying to accomplish," Rodgers responded when asked how quick the young names on the Jets offense can perform to the best of their abilities.

"But Garrett is a special talent, obviously Joe’s done a great job in drafting the offensive and defensive rookie of the year last year with my new best friend ‘Sauce’ [Gardner], but Garrett, what an amazing kid.

"Garrett has the potential to really be special in this league for a really long time because he’s got all the right things you need, he’s got incredible talent, he’s got a great work ethic and he’s a freaking great kid.

"He carries himself like a seasoned vet, but he’s got a humility that you love to see from young players."

Wilson was named the offensive rookie of the year for 2022 after making 83 catches for 1,103 yards and scoring four touchdowns.
