Is it revenge time in Philly? After losing to the Giants 34-17 in the Thursday Night Football game of Week 6, the Eagles (5-2) host their divisional rivals on home turf, ready to make amends and even the score.
Philadelphia got back to winning ways against the Vikings in Week 7, thanks to a vintage, pre-Saquon Barkley performance from Jalen Hurts. DeVonta Smith and AJ Brown feasted in that game and will be eager to carry that form over into this one.
However, last time out against the Giants, Hurts (24/33, 283 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT, one rushing TD) wasn't at his best. To win this one, he’ll need a performance more akin to last week's.
Philly running back Saquon Barkley, who still hasn't eclipsed 100 yards and has been held to only 3.3 yards per game, needs to rediscover his 2024 form. He has an excellent chance to do so against his former team, as the Giants' defense has surrendered 5.2 yards per carry.
Across the field, the talk of New York (2-5), and somehow Denver too, is all Jaxson Dart. The rookie’s got juice. He’s given the Giants offense and franchise a sense of belief, even after that gut-punch loss on a last-second field goal in Week 7.
Dart was sharp when he last met the Eagles (17/25, 195 yards, 1 TD, 1 rushing TD), with rookie back Cam Skattebo punching in three scores of his own. It’s only been a few weeks, but both first-year players look unfazed by the spotlight, and on current form, they probably believe they can shock the champs again.
The Giants’ defense closed that game with two late takeaways, and Brian Burns - the league’s sack leader - is poised and ready to create havoc for Hurts yet again.
For New York, this is a statement shot. A chance to double down on the Super Bowl champs and prove they’re for real.
For Philly, it’s both personal and business. They desperately want payback, and in doing so will retain their cushion atop the NFC East.

The Eagles lead the series 95-89-2, but momentum is with the Giants after their win in Week 6.
The neutral may prefer the plucky Giants to win, especially after watching them lose in such a cruel manner last week.
However, this feels like it will be an Eagles win. While winning won't be easy, we'll tip them to rediscover the importance of a balanced offense and overcome their divisional rivals.
