Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City head coach Andy Reid gave an injury update on Tuesday evening and his short and sweet statement was good news for Chiefs fans.

“Great to be here; I don’t have any injuries," he told the assembled media.

Last week the Chiefs had listed five players on their first Super Bowl injury report, with Patrick Mahomes (ankle), Bryan Cook (quad), Kareem Hunt (quad), Jawaan Taylor (knee) and Jaylen Watson (ankle) included, but Reid’s comments indicate that quintet are all available to play and, barring any late issues, the Chiefs will be at full strength this weekend.

Philadelphia Eagles

The initial Eagles injury report listed ten players as Nick Sirianni’s side look to be more banged up than their opponents this week.

While several of these players were included on this initial report as they were being rested, there are some concerns ahead of Sunday’s game.

Back-up running back Kenny Gainwell is still in the concussion protocol, tight end C.J. Uzomah has an abdomen injury, wide receiver Britain Covey has a neck issue and defensive end Brandon Graham has an elbow injury.

In better news for the Eagles, center Cam Jurgens announced this week that he will be fit to play following a knee injury.

“Yeah, I mean, shout out to the trainers and the medical staff," Jurgens told the media on Monday. "They’ve been working around the clock and helped me out. I’m in a lot better shape now than I was last week.”
