With just days until Super Bowl LIX kicks off in New Orleans, predictions from fans, former players and pundits are beginning to pour in.

Former Houston Texans cornerback Jason Bell, who also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, is among those looking forward to Sunday's rematch of Super Bowl LVII as the Philadelphia Eagles look to stop the Kansas City Chiefs from winning a third consecutive Vince Lombardy Trophy.

Like many observers, Bell is anticipating a close game between the two teams as they've each proven to be among the NFL's elite clubs this season.

With that being said, Bell believes championship pedigree will be the determining factor when all is said and done.

“I think this is going to be a very tightly contested game, but I just can’t go against the team that always finds a way to win in the biggest moment," Bell told 888sport.

“The Eagles are talented and physical, but the Chiefs have the experience and adaptability to adjust to any situation. That’s what championship football is all about and in a game that will likely come down to a couple of key moments, I just can’t go against Patrick Mahomes. He’s the best player in the NFL and has been the best in the play-offs for the last few years.

“When we look back on the game, we’ll likely just be looking at a couple of key plays and I think Chiefs will be the team to win those moments.”

In addition to a Chiefs victory, Bell believes that Sunday's game could add a new dimension to the neverending debate about Mahomes' place among the greatest players of all time.

“If the Chiefs can pull off the three-peat, the GOAT debate between Mahomes and Tom Brady will be more alive than ever,” he said. “Obviously Brady has won more and we celebrate the Patriots’ dynasty, but three-in-a-row is so hard to do.

“The three-peat would not only prove Mahomes as the best player in the league, but it would also cement the Chiefs as the best team with the best coach and they’ll be chasing down Bill Belichick and Tom Brady’s totals.”
