We had two teams set for the AFC and NFC Championship Games next Sunday. On Sunday, we find out the last two teams. And we began in Foxborough, Mass., as the New England Patriots locked horns with the Houston Texans.
The first team of the day is the Patriots (16-3), as Drake Maye threw three touchdowns to lead the Patriots past the Texans 28-16. Now, the Patriots will head to the AFC Championship Game and Denver to square off with the Broncos.
Typically, when talking about the Patriots, it's Maye at the center of the conversation. In this game, it was about the defense as they forced five turnovers, including causing four interceptions of C.J. Stroud.
Because of that, the Patriots head to their first conference championship game since 2018.
