Three potential trades that would shake up the 2025 NFL Draft

All 32 NFL teams hold their own first-round picks, a rare occurrence not seen since 1993.

Even if no trades occur between now and the NFL Draft on April 26th, a draft-night deal is almost inevitable.

DAZN News examines three potential trades that would turn the draft on its head.

Tennessee Titans swap picks with the Cleveland Browns

Almost every NFL draft analyst predicts the Tennessee Titans will select consensus top quarterback prospect Cam Ward with the first overall pick.

Passing over Ward would send shockwaves through the NFL, but the Browns -picking second - are the only trade partner guaranteed to allow the Titans the opportunity to select Shedeur Sanders - the consensus second-ranked quarterback in the 2025 Draft class.

Titans head coach Brian Callahan seems enamored with Ward, praising his focus and determination following an impressive Pro Day workout.

However, Callahan has also raved about Sanders, applauding his toughness and ability to "move out of the pocket".

It appears unlikely that this trade will happen, but the Titans would undoubtedly benefit from additional draft picks as they begin rebuilding one of the NFL's weakest rosters.

New England Patriots trade for Brandon Aiyuk

The Patriots have been busy in free agency but have failed to sign a difference-maker at wide receiver.

Drafting two-way phenom Travis Hunter with the fourth overall pick would undoubtedly address that problem, assuming they intend to use him as a receiver.

Another option could be to spend some of their ample remaining cap space by trading for San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk.

Aiyuk trade rumours have been swirling for months, and 49ers GM John Lynch said nothing to dismiss the notion when asked the question at the NFL Combine.

Trading for Aiyuk doesn't necessarily mean the Patriots wouldn't trade Hunter. Executive vice president of player personnel Eliot Wolf indicated that New England would take the best player available.

We also cannot overlook that Wolf's comments - if true - could also mean the Patriots would be amenable to trading down to select the best offensive tackle available.

Las Vegas Raiders trade up to select quarterback Shedeur Sanders

The Raiders addressed their most significant off-season need when they acquired veteran quarterback Geno Smith in a trade with the Seattle Seahawks.

However, at 34 years old, Smith is not the long-term answer, and the Raiders' new management team may want to mark their tenure by drafting and developing Smith's eventual successor with the sixth overall selection.

Moving up from the sixth pick to draft Sanders could prove difficult, as the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants, holding the second and third picks respectively, are also searching for a franchise quarterback.

Still, the Giants may be more open to passing on a quarterback in the draft after signing quarterback Jameis Winston to a two-year, $8m deal.
