Three teams that should target dynamic wide receiver Cooper Kupp

Star wide receiver Cooper Kupp revealed the Los Angeles Rams' intentions to trade him in a statement made on X.

The former Super Bowl MVP was disappointed with the news, which seemingly caught him off guard.

At 31 years old, Kupp is no longer in his prime, but he still has much to offer teams who value a sure-handed elite route-runner, as he proved during the Rams' playoff run.

As we turn the page to the next chapter in Kupp's glittering career, DAZN News examines three potential landing spots.

Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers have a talented, albeit mercurial, wide receiver in George Pickens, who would benefit from Kupp's leadership.

Pittsburgh signed Mike Williams to a one-year deal midway through the season, but he failed to meet expectations and will become a free agent in 2025.

The stumbling block might be Kupp's salary.

The Steelers have $43.2m in projected cap space, but they will spend a significant portion of that money on their quarterback situation.

NFL Game Pass

New England Patriots

It is premature to make a definitive conclusion, but the early signs suggest the wide receivers drafted by the Patriots in recent years are unlikely to become impact players.

Mike Vrabel would surely be interested in acquiring the services of a player like Kupp, who would help establish the culture and work ethic he envisaged in his new role.

The Patriots have more cap space in 2025 than any other NFL team, and while they must upgrade their offensive line, providing quarterback Drake Maye with more wide receiver help is also a priority.

Washington Commanders

The Commanders' offense achieved wonders in 2024, but equipping Jayden Daniels with more capable receivers would further elevate them.

Dyami Brown emerged as an impact player in the playoffs, and tight end Zach Ertz enjoyed a bounce-back year, but both players will become free agents in 2025.

Adding a slot receiver like Kupp would add a new dimension to Washington's offense and provide youngster Luke McCaffery with the perfect mentor.
