The biggest game of the year is almost here as the Kansas City Chiefs will take on the Philadelphia Eagles this weekend in Super Bowl LIX.

It's a rematch of the title game from two years ago, when the Chiefs prevailed 38-35 to claim their first of back-to-back championships. Now Patrick Mahomes and Co. are back to try to do the unprecedented and win a third straight Super Bowl (and fourth of the current era), a feat that would surely put them among the best teams of all time.

Standing in their way are the Eagles, who are out for revenge after that Super Bowl LVII loss. They boast a two-headed monster in Jalen Hurts and Saquon Barkley that has proven nearly unstoppable this season, along with a vaunted defense that will look to stop Mahomes from connecting with the likes of Travis Kelce, Xavier Worthy and rest of the Chiefs' offense.

With star power galore and enough narratives to keep even the least likely football follower intrigued, Sunday's game promises to be a true showcase for the NFL.

But who will win?

Our DAZN News NFL experts give their views on how the game will turn out.

Ryan Baldi

The Eagles have the better offensive line, the better group of receivers, the better pass rush, the better defensive front and the better secondary. They also have, in Saquon Barkley, the best running back in the league who who just happens to be celebrating his birthday the day of the Super Bowl.

Everything points towards a Philadelphia victory.

Well, almost everything.

For all the areas in which they are weaker than their Super Bowl opponents, the Chiefs still have defensive savant Steve Spagnuolo. They still have offensive mastermind Andy Reid.

And they still have the best quarterback in the world (and quite possibly of all time).

I’m not going to bet against Patrick Mahomes in the postseason until I see him beaten. And we haven’t seen that for more than three years now.

I think it’ll be close. But no one is better at eking out close wins than the Chiefs. They’ve won their last 17 one-score games. I think’s they’ll make it 18 on Sunday, 27-24.

If I'm being logical, I can think of plenty of reasons why the Eagles will win this one.

Saquon Barkley has been unstoppable this season and their offense should be able to control the time of possession and put points on the board, while on the other side of the ball, Vic Fangio’s line can cause issues, force turnovers and overwhelm even the best offenses.

But I’ve fallen for this trap before. The Chiefs still have the feeling of inevitability about them and their innate ability to dig out wins far outstrips cold logic, so I’m saying that Kansas City get their three-peat in a way that breaks Philadelphia hearts, be that a late Mahomes score, an Eagles field goal that hits the upright or something of that ilk.

All signs point to the Chiefs making history - but is the weight of that pressure going to prove a bridge too far against an Eagles team that look to be flying high right now?

Patrick Mahomes and his men know what it takes to deliver at the big dance, and they will head to New Orleans as the favourites. But their foes have already shown they know how to undo them once already this term.

It comes down to whether Philadelphia can also handle the heft of history in front of them. Whichever side manages the tension will be the team that cuts through it - and there's a gut feeling that gives the edge to them this time around.

Caleb Tallman

The Chiefs, with Patrick Mahomes at quarterback, are unstoppable. Don't overlook their defense, either, as it has been one of the NFL's best.

This game will be tight, but Mahomes will lead his team to a win in the clutch.

Matt Astbury

They may be two of the NFL’s most disliked teams, but the Philadelphia Eagles and Kansas City Chiefs should serve up another classic for the Vince Lombardi Trophy.

When it comes to where I think the game could be won or lost, it will be whether Eagles running back Saquon Barkley can wreak havoc. When the Eagles faced the Chiefs back at Super Bowl LVII, all that was missing for Philly was a running threat, and now they have got it.

If Barkley can find successfully navigate the gameplan devised by Chiefs defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo, the Eagles will enjoy their time on offense and win the game.

Jason Abbey

The Eagles' secondary has made impressive progress this season, emerging as one of the top units in the league. With standout players like Jalen Carter and Zach Baun anchoring the front seven, Philadelphia’s defense is capable of competing with the best.

Even so, I think the Chiefs still have the edge. It starts with Patrick Mahomes' knack for stepping up in clutch moments and Andy Reid's ability to outsmart opponents on the biggest stage.

Rudi Schuller

To quote the venerable Ric Flair: "To be the man, you gotta beat the man."

Pardon me for invoking a wrestling legend when talking about football, but it's as valid for this game as it was for any of Flair's many matches. Simply put, Patrick Mahomes is currently the man in the NFL and until somebody steps up and knocks him off his throne, he'll continue to be the man.

The Philadelphia Eagles are a worthy opponent with weapons of their own — Saquon Barkley may just be the best player in the entire league this season and can turn a game on its head by himself — but Mahomes' championship pedigree is something that cannot be quantified.

Mahomes and Co. were challenged all throughout this season and found new ways to win every time. This is the mark of a winner, and who am I to go against that?

It's hard to go against Mahomes, so I won't.
