WBC light heavyweight champion David Benavidez is set to make his Riyadh debut in November when he defends the iconic green and gold belt, live on DAZN.
Standing in the opposite corner will be Britain's Anthony Yarde who will be challenging for a third world title after coming up short in his two previous attempts.
Benavidez has been on the cusp of becoming a major force for a number of years, but his career at super middleweight stalled after failing to secure a date with pound-for-pound great Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez.
Instead of waiting to face the Mexican, Benavidez moved up to light heavyweight with wins over Oleksandr Gvozdyk last year and David Morrell in February.
Two months after beating Morrell, Benavidez who at the time held the WBC's interim 175lb title, was upgraded to world champion after Dmitry Bivol vacated the belt.
The American is now eager to make a statement to the biggest names at light heavyweight and it starts against Yarde in the Saudi Arabian capital, and speaking to Inside The Ring, Benavidez is ready for 'war'.
"I definitely expect a big action fight. Anthony Yarde is a fighter who has been in there with the best of them," Benavidez said.
"He’s felt hard shots, he’s been in there with two of the best Russian fighters of all time, Sergey Kovalev and Artur Beterbiev.
"I’m expecting this man to come 100% ready for this fight, but like I said, at the end of the day I’m not scared of anything. I accept and I invite war."
Despite losing to Sergey Kovalev and Artur Beterbiev in his two previous world title challenges, Yarde has given a good account of himself.
While Kovalev and Beterbiev are known for their ferocious power, Yarde was willing to trade and will be looking to do the same against 'The Mexican Monster'.
Since losing to Beterbiev two years ago, Yarde has amassed a four-fight winning streak, with his most recent success coming in a trilogy fight against Lyndon Arthur on the undercard of Chris Eubank Jr's first meeting with Conor Benn earlier this year.
