It was the highest-scoring weekend of the campaign so far in Serie A, with big wins for Inter, Como and Atalanta in a round that could prove pivotal come the end of the season.

Sunday's super showdown had some massive ramifications at the top of the table, but which players have made the team of the week for Matchday 22?

Ash Rose  has once again taken his picks...

Mike Maginan (Milan)

Showed once again why he's the best keeper in Serie A right now, with another match-saving display.

The Frenchman kept Milan in the game with a string of top stops in the first half and managed to withstand anything Roma threw at him.

Marco Palestra (Cagilari)

Cagliari pulled off an impressive away win at Fiorentina, and it was Palestra who was at the heart of both goals.

The defender set up the first for the Viola before netting the winner himself just two minutes after the break in the 2-1 victory.

Koni Di Winter (Milan)

Di Winter has played his way into Milan's back-three this season with some stellar displays at the back, and Sunday evening was no different.

However, it was his bullet header from Luka Modric's pinpoint cross that earned the Rossoneri a point in the capital.

Alessandro Marcandalli (Genoa)

One of the weekend's most entertaining affairs came as Genoa got the better of Bologna after coming from 2-0 down to snatch the win.

Macrcandaill played his part, setting up the equaliser and then the winner for Junior Messias in stoppage time.

Federico Dimarco (Inter)

A Player of the Match display from the wing-back who's been one of the stars of the season so far in Serie A.

He helped himself to another goal and another assist in the 6-2 win over Pisa, taking his goal contributions to 12 for the campaign.

Khephren Thruam (Juventus)

The midfield battle was won by Juventus in the showdown with Napoli, with Thuram putting in one of his best performances of the campaign.

He and Locatelli dominated the champions' well-drilled midfield two, and it was key in helping Juve get a season-defining win.

Ylber Ramadani (Lecce)

Lecce managed to halt their losing streak with a credible stalemate against Lazio to keep them above the relegation zone.

Ramadani's display in the middle was vital as the Albanian protected his defence and helped ground out a point for his team.

Manuel Locatelli (Juventus)

A captain's performance for Juve, as he shone in the 3-0 win over Napoli, assisting the second goal in what was a starring role for the Old Lady.

His display included 93% passing accuracy in the opposition half, six duels won and four recoveries.

Tasos Douvikas (Como)

A proper striker's performance from the Como star, who scored twice in the club's 6-0 thrashing of Torino on Saturday.

The Greek hitman's brace took him up to eight for the season, and among the top names in the goalscoring charts as he puts his name in the frame for the Capocannoniere.

Nikola Krstovic (Atalanta)

The Montegerian only needed half an hour to make an impact as Atalanta swept away Parm with a 4-0 victory.

Kristovic came off the bench to score and assist in the win, earning himself the Player of the Match gong as he helped the home side round off an impressive outing.

Kenan Yildiz (Juventus)

Juventus always look a much more dangerous outfit when their young starlet is in the mood, and he once again shone against Napoli.

Yildiz settled the tie against Napoi by netting the second goal in the 3-0 win and looked threatening whenever he had the ball.
