For the first time in more than a decade, Mexican legend Saul "Canelo" Alvarez will be competing in his home country.

Canelo (58-2-2 39 KOs) returns to his hometown of Guadalajara to take on WBO mandatory John Ryder (32-5 18 KOs) in a clash that will see the hugely popular Mexican fighter attempt to retain his undisputed super-middleweight title.

Alvarez was most recently in the ring in Sept. 2022 when he successfully defended his straps against Gennadiy Golovkin in Las Vegas. Meanwhile, English challenger Ryder won the vacant WBO interim super-middleweight title in a Nov. 2022 fight up against Zach Parker, and now the 34-year-old Brit prepares for by far the biggest moment of his career as he takes on four-weight champion Canelo in front of an expected sell-out crowd in Mexico.
