Chris Eubank Jr. makes shock revelation ahead of Conor Benn rematch

Eubank Jr. vs Benn II exclusively on DAZN - Nov 15

Chris Eubank Jr. has claimed that the final contract is yet to be signed for his upcoming rematch with Conor Benn

After beating Benn in a thrilling 12-round battle last April, the pair will meet once more at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on November 15, exclusively live on DAZN

A lot of the build-up to the first fight surrounded Eubank Jr. being able to make the 160lb limit along with meeting the 10lb rehydration clause.

Eubank Jr. did end up missing weight which saw him hit with a £375,000 fine, but his weight on the day of the fight was below the rehydration limit.

The controversy surrounding Eubank Jr.'s weight cut continued after he posted videos of himself using sauna to cut weight, a practice which is frowned upon, which resulted in him being hit with another fine, this time £10,000 by the British Boxing Board of Control over the "misuse of social media".

Once the rematch was confirmed, it was then revealed that the contract will contain the same rules as the first fight which raised concerns as to whether Eubank Jr. will encounter the same weight cut issues.

Appearing on Inside The Ring, Eubank Jr. hinted that despite being in camp for his rematch with Benn, the final contract is yet to be agreed upon with his team currently negotiating certain terms which he decided to not disclose.

"The final contract for this fight has not been fully agreed on so there’s a few things we’re going to try and smooth out and make right," Eubank Jr. said.

"We agreed on a second fight before the first fight, but there are certain parts of the contract that are still up for negotiation. I’m not going to go into what parts of the contract they are, but we are in negotiations for certain things.

"It’s up to me and my team to get the best deal."

Eubank Jr.'s rematch with Benn headlines an exciting card in North London which will feature rising super lightweight Adam Azim, and an intriguing domestic welterweight clash between Jack Catterall and Ekow Essuman.
