The much-anticipated rematch between Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn now has a date and location, as His Excellency Turki Alalshikh confirmed to The Ring that the fight will take place in London on Sept. 20.

Eubank and Benn first faced off earlier this year in a thrilling encounter at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium that was the culmination of an unprecedented years-long fight build-up. The duo engaged in a verbal — and sometimes physical — battle in the lead-up to the April 26 encounter, which lived up to the hype as the fighters went 12 rounds in a brutal contest that Eubank won by unanimous decision.

Plans for a rematch were set in motion nearly immediately thereafter, and now the city and date are set. According to The Ring's report, the rematch will be at middleweight with a 10-pound rehydration clause.

Benn's promoter, Matchroom Boxing chairman Eddie Hearn, expects another war in the ring between the rivals.

"I just think the second fight will be even better," Hearn said. "They're not going to change. They're going to come out from the first bell and just carry on like the 13th round. And when you see a fight like that, for me, the automatic thing to do is to do the rematch. The fight was always going to be two fights, but sometimes a fight's one-sided or it ends early and there isn't really the appetite for the rematch.

"I think here, now with Conor having that activity, which is something that was lacking from the first fight as well, we really fancy our chances. We know the weight's a disadvantage and that showed a little bit in the first fight, but fans can just expect a continuation of the 12th round and it'll be another toe-to-toe war."

The final detail to confirm is exactly where in London the rematch will take place. Tottenham Hotspur are away on Sept. 20 making a return to the venue possible, but the 90,000-seat Wembley Stadium is in the conversation as well.

"Spurs is contracted — it's a fantastic stadium and it worked extremely well the first time," Hearn said. "Obviously, it was sold out and this fight's even bigger, so you could possibly look at Wembley to increase the capacity, but that will be a decision for His Excellency and Ring Magazine to make the final call."
