Eubank Jr vs Benn: Tony Bellew makes prediction and also what one fighter must do
Tony Bellew is given his backing to Conor Benn this weekend and he believes the Essex man will also win in style.
Benn and Chris Eubank Jr are set to clash in a huge battle, live on DAZN, and it is a fight that neither man can afford to lose.
Since deciding to renew a family feud that began in the early 1990s, Benn and Eubank Jr have repeatedly taken vicious wipes at each other.
Earlier this year, when the pair came face to face, Eubank Jr slapped Benn with an egg in retaliation for blaming contaminated eggs for the reason there was an adverse finding in his pre-fight drug test when they were originally set to clash in 2022.
That incident has escalated the feud between both fighters and their eagerness to get their hands on each other for real is growing with each passing day.
Bellew, who has been involved numerous verbal exchanges with the Eubank family, has provided his verdict ion what he believes will happen on Saturday night.
“I think Benn is going to do it. I know I’m in the minority, but I've seen how bad he wants it,” said Bellew when speaking excusively to DAZN News.
“You can talk about Eubank Jr’s size and experience, but sometimes a fighter is just so driven to win, and I just don’t see Benn being denied because he wants it so much.
“The early stages of the fight will be crucial for both men and this where Benn has to do the most damage. If Eubank is still there in the second half, then the fight will become much harder for Benn.
“I think everyone connected to Benn will know this and they will be going all out for an early stoppage. It’s a risky strategy but it might just pay off.”
