Promoter Frank Warren has ruled out American heavyweight Jarrell Miller as the opponent for Derek Chisora's 50th and final fight after beating Otto Wallin in February.
Chisora is set to box one last time in his 50th professional contest later this year, with December 13 in Manchester reportedly the date and location for the occasion.
As the date inches closer, rumours are rife as to who Chisora will face and it looked set to be the loud-mouthed Miller with a deal signed.
However, speaking to Boxing News at the final press conference for Saturday's heavyweight clash between Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley, live exclusively on DAZN PPV, Warren revealed that a deal with Miller had broken down.
"The Jarrell Miller fight I don’t think is going to happen, we had it all agreed, but I don’t think it’s going to happen now," Warren said.
"I hope we’ll be in a position to announce on Saturday or Sunday to announce the show for December 13th."
When pressed as to reasons why the Chisora-Miller fight fell apart, Warren gave the following response, "Nothing to do with us, it just fell apart."
Rising star Moses Itauma is also set to feature on the rumoured December 13 card in Manchester, but there is yet to be any word on an opponent due to the huge pay days being demanded by those who could be in line to face the 20-year-old.
Itauma last fought in August when he knocked out former world title challenger Dillian Whyte in Riyadh.
Joseph Parker and Fabio Wardley fight this Saturday, October 25, to become the WBO mandatory challenger to Oleksandr Usyk. Watch the fight and undercard live and exclusive on DAZN PPV.
