Is Jake Paul trolling or being serious taking an MMA fight?

On Friday, the 24-year-old released a video on Twitter where he was throwing leg kicks onto pads at the Unbreakable Performance Center in West Hollywood, Calif.

“1st day training kicks,” Paul tweeted. “Doubted every step of the way.. but kick down the doors of the doubters.”

The PFL saw Paul's message and offered a response.

In the message, the social media influencer turned boxer tagged Bellator and PFL. Mentioning those promotions and not the UFC is a nudge towards the MMA leader due to Paul's rivalry with UFC president Dana White.

Recently, Paul took to Twitter with a wager that said he'd retire from boxing if the UFC increased fighter compensation and White gave him a fight inside the Octagon. White didn't meet the deadline of Paul's offer.

Paul went 3-0 inside the ring in 2021. He knocked out Ben Askren in April, won a split-decision over Tyron Woodley in August, and then last month, he knocked out Woodley in the sixth round. It is unknown when Paul will make his 2022 debut.
