Agit Kabayal plows through Damian Knyba to retain interim WBC heavyweight title

Agit Kabayel returned to Germany for the first time in nearly three years on Saturday when he put his interim WBC heavyweight title against Damian Knyba, which aired live on DAZN.

Kabayel showed why he's a force to be reckoned with. After an entertaining back-and-forth opening round, Kabayel ramped up the pace. He showed his superiority by breaking Knyba down and closing the show in the third round to win by TKO and retain the belt in front of a raucous crowd at the Rudolf Weber-Arena in Oberhausen, Germany.

With about a minute remaining in the third round, Kabayel landed a right hand that hurt Knyba. Sensing he had Knyba hurt, Kabayel closed the show. He unloaded one heavy left and right hand after another. Kabayel rocked Knyba with a right hand and threw two uppercuts that grazed Knyba. 

Kabayel landed an overhand right that nearly dropped Knyba. He landed a barrage of shots to send Knyba to the ropes. Knyba just missed a right uppercut. Kabayel landed a short overhand right to nearly send Knyba down again. One more right connected, and that was enough for the referee to wave it off and send the home crowd into a frenzy.
