Oscar De La Hoya shows his quality as he stops Mayweather in one-sided fight

Oscar De La Hoya has long had a bitter rivalry with Floyd Mayweather. 

The pair clashed in 2007 in one of boxing’s biggest ever fights and it was Mayweather who got the win via split decision in a close encounter. 

14 years before that fight, De La Hoya had his first fight with the famous Mayweather fighting family when he faced Floyd’s uncle, Jeff. 

The fight took place in Las Vegas in 1993, and De La Hoya made it five wins from as may fights with a fourth-round stoppage.
