Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson confirmed to headline The Ring 6 in mouthwatering super lightweight clash

Teofimo Lopez and Shakur Stevenson will contest an all-American super-bout next year when they headline The Ring 6 on January 31, live on DAZN Pay-Per-View.

Two of boxing's biggest domestic stars will meet in New York for a winner-takes-all clash, with the former's WBO super-lightweight crown at stake for the winner.

Lopez, on a six-bout hot streak since a 2021 loss to George Kambosos Jr., will seek to maintain his reign as one of the division's premier operators in the Big Apple.

But in the undefeated Stevenson, he faces a man who has already conquered titles at featherweight, super featherweight and lightweight across a glittering career.

It makes for one of the most anticipated clashes between United States boxers in recent years, with the added bonus of local bragging rights on the line for both men.

Born and raised on opposite sides of the Hudson River, Lopez will aim to do Brooklyn proud with his latest defence, while Stevenson will fly the flag for Newark.

The pair's clash comes after several superb headline bouts on The Ring cards in 2025, including David Benavidez's impressive stoppage win over Anthony Yarde.

Japan's generational pound-for-pound great Naoya Inoue, meanwhile, headlines The Ring V: Night of the Samurai on December 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Fight fans have been promised a 2026 to remember - and now, one week after Moses Itauma and Jermaine Franklin dance, a bout-of-the-year contender arrives.
