Misfits 22 - Contender reveals difference in ten-round preparation ahead of biggest test yet

Misfits Boxing 22 - Saturday - only on DAZN PPV

Ty Mitchell has offered his respect for Sean Hemphill, admitting the move to ten-round sparring has been "difficult" before Misfits 22 – Ring of Thrones on DAZN Pay-Per-View.

The incumbent MF Pro Light Heavyweight champion challenges the ranked super middleweight contender in his latest bout at Manchester's AO Arena on Saturday.

Hemphill upset the odds to defeat Mark Jeffers in his last bout and earned a ranking berth inside the top fifteen with the IBF, offering further incentive for Mitchell in this contest.

But speaking exclusively to DAZN News, the 34-year-old has plenty of respect for his MF Pro Super Middleweight title foe while explaining how he has prepared for a longer fight.

DAZN - Home of Boxing

"It's my first ten-rounder," he said. "He showed he had a brilliant tank [against Mark Jeffers], he's really fit and he did ten rounds.

"I think with the longer rounds, you settle into the fight more. There's not as much urgency to get the job done. You get to settle into the fight more.

"It's been difficult for me in sparring. I've been doing ten rounds with three different partners, so it has been constant pressure. It's been good though. I've enjoyed it.

"I've learnt to work when I'm tired, I've learnt how to pace myself through the rounds. If the knockout comes, it comes. But I've trained hard.

"He's a very good opponent, and I've got a lot of respect for him as a fighter. I think it's the longest fight in Misfits history."
