Tyson Fury makes shock confession following first fight with Oleksandr Usyk

Tyson Fury has spoken about the loss he suffered in his first battle with Oleksandr Usyk and admitted he should have delayed the fight further and taken the financial hit.

The Gypsy King suffered the first loss of his career against the Ukrainian back in May, a fight that had already been rescheduled from February following an injury to Fury's eye during sparring.

At the time a £10 million caveat was put on the fight if any man were to delay the fight again, but speaking ahead of this Saturday's rematch - live on DAZN PPV, with no subscription required - Fury confessed he should have pushed back the original clash further, because this time around the build has been a lot smoother going into the weekend's showdown.

"This time it's been a lot easier," Fury told Sky Sports.

"I've done lots of sparring and I've been able to train properly, whereas before it's no secret that I didn't do a lot of sparring, hence I had a massive bounty on my cut eye.

"Thinking sensible, maybe I would have pushed it back a little bit and cost myself £10m, but it doesn't really matter because we're here now and I'm going to do the job on Saturday night."

Despite the admission, Fury still hasn't looked back on the defeat to Usyk, and is instead concentrated on what was up ahead and the fight in Riyadh.

Adding: "I haven't processed it at all. I've not done any processing.

"All I've done is enjoyed my life and lived, and then went into another training camp. And I'll continue to do the same thing after this fight."
