Tyson Fury provides a major update on whether he will return to boxing

Tyson Fury has once again insisted that he will not be returning to the ring after being interviewed at Doncaster racecourse.

Last year, Fury endured the most difficult period of his professional career when he was beaten twice by Oleksandr Usyk when trying to become undisputed heavyweight champion .

Despite the losses, many within the boxing community still expected Fury to have a prosperous 2025 with a potential showdown with Anthony Joshua still possible.

Instead of that though, Fury shocked the world at the start of the year by announcing his retirement from boxing .

In the months since that declaration, rumours have linked Fury to a comeback and some figures close to him have speculated he will eventually be back inside the ring at some point this year.

After Usyk defeated Daniel Dubois at Wembley Stadium last month, he made it clear in his post-fight interview that he would be open to a third bout with Fury.

That bout, despite the first two results, would likely do big business, but it now appears unlikely to take place as Fury has once again stated that he would not be returning to the ring.

"Never,” said Fury when asked by Sky Sports whether he would be making a comeback.

"Too old, look at my beard, all grey. Boxing is a young man's game.”
