Unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk struggles on the back foot; that is the view of Daniel Dubois' promoter Frank Warren.

Fight week is well underway with Usyk, who holds the WBA, WBC and WBO heavyweight titles, taking on IBF champion Dubois for undisputed heavyweight honours at Wembley Stadium on Saturday night, live and exclusive on DAZN PPV

For Dubois, this is the culmination of a successful 19 months which has seen him bounce back from a knockout loss to Usyk with three successive knockout wins of his own, the most recent being against British superstar Anthony Joshua in September

Compared to their first meeting in Wroclaw, Usyk is coming up against a more confident and dangerous Dubois who will be looking to do something which 23 fighters have failed to do - find a weakness and beat Usyk.

Much has been made of the Ukrainian looking vulnerable whenever his body is targeted, but Warren explained why there is another area for his fighter to exploit.

"Oleksandr is a good fighter coming forward, but you push him back and he’s not as good. Daniel will be trying to, and I hope, do that," Warren said during an appearance on DAZN's Ariel x Ade

"Usyk will come out and do what he did to AJ and against Tyson in that first fight and come out throwing punches. He came out trying to intimidate the opposition.

"They think Daniel is going to fold under pressure. The first couple of rounds are going to be really exciting - anything could happen in this fight."

Analysis from DAZN News Boxing writer Matt Astbury

We already know Usyk struggles when his opponents target the body.

Yes, it was deemed a low blow by the referee, but Dubois' body shot in round five of the first fight left the Ukrainian shaking, so there is definitely a weakness there.

But Warren is right to mention Usyk's struggles on the back foot. Usyk is smaller and lighter by heavyweight standards, therefore slick footwork is key when it comes to tiring out the much bigger and slower opponents.

Dubois can bring a halt to Usyk's quick movement, and to do that he needs to walk the Ukrainian down, and have him back pedalling whilst also landing punches.

If plenty land, Usyk will be reluctant to venture forward and throw shots of his own, giving Dubois the opportunity to do what he does best and leave his foes laid out on the ring canvas.
