The 2025 FIFA Club World Cup kicks off today (Saturday, June 14) with the tournament's opening match between Al Ahly and Inter Miami, and it is live and free on DAZN - register for your free account here .
All eyes will be on South Florida as Lionel Messi and Co. take centre stage against the Egyptian side, who will be looking to topple the star-studded Miami team in front of a global audience.
While this is the first match of group play, neither Al Ahly nor Miami will be considered favourites to advance out of Group A as Brazilian giants Palmeiras and FC Porto of Portugal are fancied to claim the top two spots. However, a good performance on Saturday could help one of these teams build momentum ahead of tougher challenges ahead — and Messi, Luis Suarez et al. are no strangers to grabbing the spotlight and making it their own.
DAZN News has all the information for Al Ahly vs Inter Miami.

Al Ahly vs Inter Miami will take place at Hard Rock Stadium , located in Miami Gardens , Florida .
The home of the NFL's Miami Dolphins, the stadium is one familiar to football fans as several high-profile friendlies — both club and country — have been held there over the years, and more recently it was the venue for matches in the 2024 Copa America.
Hard Rock Stadium, with a capacity of 64,767, will host eight FIFA Club World Cup matches in total, along with seven games at next year's FIFA World Cup.
The club are coming off a 45th Egyptian league title, confirming their dominance in the domestic scene despite a major overhaul in how the league champions are crowned.
Al Ahly were last in action on May 28 as they ran out 6-0 winners over Pharco to complete their title run, but the Cairo club have not been idle as they took on fellow Club World Cup side CF Pachuca in a friendly at Inter Miami's home stadium on June 8.
Previous XI : El Shenawy; Koka, El Aash, Ibrahim, Hany; El Solia, Ashour, Attia; Bencharki, Abou Ali, Mohamed
Like the other two MLS sides, Miami are in the middle of their domestic campaign.
The Herons have found their footing in their two most recent matches, winning 4-2 against CF Montreal and 5-1 over Columbus Crew, respectively. Prior to those victories, Miami were winless in four and gave up three or more goals in each of those games.
This season has shown that Miami can score goals in bunches, but they are also vulnerable to giving up as many or more than they score.
Previous XI : Ríos Novo; Alba, Martinez, Falcon, Weigandt; Segovia, Busquets, Cremaschi; Allende, Suarez, Messi
Odds courtesy of DAZN Bet and correct as of 09:15am BST on Monday, June 9.
Miami will be playing at home, but not at their home stadium. However, the familiar surroundings, coupled with their ability to score, will favour the Herons to win a high-scoring tournament opener against their Egyptian opposition.
Prediction: Al Ahly 2-3 Inter Miami
