Group B of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup concludes Monday with concurrent matches - one of which is Atletico Madrid vs Botafogo. As usual, the match is available live and free on DAZN - register for your free account here.
Both sides aim to take points from this match and advance to the knockout stage, but Atletico are in a much needier position than Botafogo given the Brazilian club's first-place standing heading into Monday.
Botafogo can assure themselves a spot in the round of 16 with a draw, but — barring a miracle victory for Seattle Sounders against PSG in the day's other Group B game — Atletico will need a multi-goal victory to even have a chance of moving on.

Atletico Madrid vs Botafogo will take place at the Rose Bowl, located in Pasadena, California.
The venerable stadium is among the largest in the United States and is an iconic venue known mostly for hosting the annual Rose Bowl Game in NCAA football. The final of the 1994 FIFA World Cup and 1999 FIFA Women's Worrld Cup were also played at the California stadium, each to sell-out crowds of over 90,000 fans.
The Spanish side got off to a woeful start as they fell 4-0 to PSG in their tournament opener, but they claimed a 3-1 victory over the hosts Seattle Sounders in their second match to stave off elimination.
Now they must try to reverse the large goal differential between themselves and the French side, which could lead to a wide open match against Botafogo.
Previous XI: Oblak; Llorente, Giminez, Le Normand, Galan; Simeone, De Paul, Koke, Barrios; Sørloth, Alvarez

One of the teams driving the South American narrative in this tournament, the Rio side held off Seattle in their opening match and then stunned the world by defeating Champions League holders PSG and taking hold of first place in the group.
With one foot in the knockouts already, it would be logical for Botafogo to rotate their squad against Atletico. However, they are not assured passage into the last-16 and can not let down their guard against an Atletico side still reeling from their opening-match embarrassment by the Parisians.
Previous XI: John; Vitinho, Jair, Barboza, Telles; Allan, Gregore, Marlon; Artur, Igor Jesus, Savarino
Atletco are favoured in this match despite their Jekyll and Hyde performances in the tournaments so far.
The Spanish side will be more desperate for a result than their Brazilian opponents, which is likely informing the bookmakers' thought process here.

A motived Atletico side is a very dangerous one, but can they do it in the midday heat of Southern California? This one seems like it has draw written all over it.
Prediction: Atletico Madrid 1-1 Botafogo
