Rasmus Hojlund played the role of hero on Sunday as Manchester United earned a late 1-1 draw at AFC Bournemouth.
It was Hojlund's goal deep into stoppage time that allowed the Red Devils to leave the Vitality Stadium with a point rather than a third straight Premier League defeat.
The 22-year-old found himself in prime position to tap in a shot attempt by Manuel Ugarte, giving his side something to celebrate as their domestic season to forget inches closer to the finish line.
Hojlund himself hasn't had a campaign to write home about as Sunday's goal was just his fourth in the league this season, but he continues to have the full confidence of his manager.
"It is always important for strikers to score," Ruben Amorim told Sky Sports. "But when we look at the game as a striker it is not just the goals.
"It is a good boost but the next game is a new history and we have to go again."
Hojlund and United will have a short turn-around for their next match, which is the first leg of their Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao on Thursday.
Amorim believes his side can takes some lessons from Sunday's match and apply it to the crucial away fixture in Spain.
"The way Bournemouth defend is quite similar to [to Bilbao], so we can take things from this game," the manager said. "But again it is a new history and we must do better."
