The FIFA Club World Cup takes place this summer, as 32 of the best teams in world football ascend on the USA for the newly formatted tournament.
The best of Europe, Asia, Africa, America and Oceania will contest the trophy, but how did the teams from each confederation qualify for the Club World Cup?
We look at how the teams from North America booked their place in America this summer.
There are five different teams from North America making the journey to the States.
The Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (CONCACAF) were allocated four teams, with the four most recent CONCACAF Champions League (now the CONCACAF Champions Cup) winners, CF Monterrey (2021), Seattle Sounders (2022), Leon (2023) and Pachuca (2024), automatically qualifying. Leon was later removed from the competition and will be replaced by the winner of a play-in match between LAFC and Club America.
FIFA also designated a slot for the host nation, with Inter Miami earning that berth by winning the 2024 MLS Supporters' Shield.
