Inter Milan 2-0 River Plate highlights: Inter seal top spot with win over nine-man River Plate

Inter Milan booked their place in the last sixteen of the FIFA Club World Cup with a 2-0 win over River Plate in Group E. 

It took the Italians until late in the second half to finally seal their passage through to the knockouts, with goals from Francesco Esposito and Alessandro Bastoni. The victory sees them top the group and set a date with Fluminense on Monday. 

The result meant River Plate were knocked out of the competition on a disappointing night for the Argentines, who saw Lucas Martínez Quarta and Gonzalo Montiel see red during the clash.
