Paul Parker warns Man United to be wary in Europa League second leg despite big advantage

Manchester United go into tonight's Europa League semi-final second leg as favourites after saving one of their best performances of the season for the first tie a week ago.

Ruben Amorim's men put their league troubles to one side to beat Athletic Bilbao 3-0 in Spain and now need to finish the job off at Old Trafford to book their place in the competition's final.

It was a rare bright spark in a torrid season for the club and it was a display that surprised former United defender Paul Parker.

"I was more shocked with the scoreline, to be perfectly honest, because I wasn't expecting that," he exclusively told DAZN News, thanks to BestBettingSites.com

"First 10-15 minutes or so, I mean, it was a whirlwind at them, then they got the first goal and then all of a sudden everything just kind of fell apart for Bilbao in that sense and the way it worked out for them.

"I think you'd look for more when they went down to 10 men. I'm sure the manager would have wanted more from them, but the easiest thing to do there is take what you've got, and I think that's what they've done, really."

If they make it past the Spanish side an all-English final could await them with Tottenham looking likely to make it through their semi-final aginst Bodo/Glimt.

However, given the campaign that United had have, where disaster never seems too far away, Parker has warned that despite their 3-0 lead United still shouldn't take the second leg for granted.

Adding "They didn't have to really go searching, but given how maybe a lot of United fans are about Manchester United, I think they'd rather have seen four or five.

"To be honest, because I think everyone's going to be worried about that first 10-15 minutes at Old Trafford and how Bilbao are going to go about it, because I think everyone's thinking that they feel hard done by, so they're thinking that if they don't, if they're not prepared for that little storm that's going to arrive early, the whole tie could just maybe change.

"As anyone would, given the way Manchester United have played this season, you're always going to be sceptical of what happens next."
