Goalkeeper: Caoimhin Kelleher (Brentford)
Stopped a penalty and was excellent overall as the Bees overran Sunderland.
Right back: Matty Cash (Aston Villa)
Another standout performance for Villa's Poland international, who made four clearances and created two big chances.
Centre back: Cristian Romero (Tottenham)
Spurs were losers on the day, but not because of Romero. The Argentine was a behemoth on the defensive end, winning 12 aerial duels, making seven clearances, registering seven successful tackles and making two interceptions.
Centre back: Marcos Senesi (Bournemouth)
Senesi was integral to the Cherries' victory over Tottenham, making 10 clearances and recording an assist.
Left back: Oliver Scarles (West Ham)
Yes, we've included a West Ham player. Scarles stood out above his team's lacklustre play, making seven clearances and forcing Nottingham Forest's winger Omari Hutchinson out of the match.
Midfielder: Harvey Barnes (Newcastle)
An attacking dynamo for the Magpies in their 4-3 win over Leeds, Barnes scored Newcastle's first and last goal of the match.
Midfielder: Bruno Fernandes (Manchester United)
The Man United captain has become a fixture in our team of the week, and he once again finds himself earning a nod after a productive outing against Burnley. Fernandes had an assist and three big chances created, along with 13 successful passes in the final third.
Midfielder: Bruno Guimaraes (Newcastle)
From one captain Bruno to another, the Brazilian scored from the penalty spot and provided an assist.
Midfielder: Brenden Aaronson (Leeds)
The American showed good and bad in Leeds' loss to Newcastle, scoring twice and committing the handball that led directly to Guimaraes' penalty. However, his stellar play outweighs his bad luck in our eyes.
Forward: Igor Thiago (Brentford)
Another two goals to lead the Bees to victory over Everton. Igor Thiago is the Premier League's current in-form striker after five goals in two matches.
Forward: Benjamin Sesko (Manchester United)
Sesko scored twice against Burnley but the Red Devils could not honour his great play with a victory.
