When are the big derbies and matches in the 2025-26 Serie A season?

There's nothing quite like a football rivalry, and Italy's Serie A boasts quite a few of them, all of which you can see on DAZN, the home of Serie A , for the 2025-26 season. 

That makes it easier to follow the rivalries and big matches that make encounters in the Italian top flight even more compelling.

While the league takes a break for October's internationals, here is a reminder of the derbies and big matches from the 2025-26 Serie A season.

 

When are the big derbies and matches in the 2025-26 Serie A season?

Derby della Madonnina (Milan Derby)

• November 23: Inter vs. Milan
• March 8: Milan vs. Inter

Arguably the most famous rivalry in Italy, the Milan Derby boasts nearly 120 years of history and was the first intra-city derby in which both teams have won the European Cup/Champions League.

Derby della Capitale (Rome Derby)

• September 21: Lazio 0-1 Roma
• May 17: Roma vs. Lazio

The capital city clubs have been battling since 1929 and will square off two more times in Serie A this season. Roma have won 69 of the 185 official meetings between these rivals. 

Derby della Mole (Turin Derby)

• November 9: Juventus vs. Torino
• May 24: Torino vs. Juventus

Another major intra-city rivalry, this one has been unsurprisingly dominated by Juventus. Torino will have their next chance to edge close to their cross-town rivals in November.

Derby d'Italia (Inter-Juve)

• September 13: Juventus 4-3 Inter
• February 15: Inter vs. Juventus

First contested in 1909, this rivalry got its name in the late 1960s as it became apparent that these clubs represented the best of Italian football. Of course, there are other clubs that would dispute their status as the two biggest in the country, but Inter vs. Juve has solified itself as a marquee fixture on the Serie A calender.

Derby del Sole (Napoli-Roma)

• November 30: Roma vs. Napoli
• February 15: Napoli vs. Roma

Featuring arguably the two most popular clubs outside of Northern Italy, this rivalry has grown in importance in recent years thanks to Napoli's rise to the top of Serie A.

Other marquee matches

There are several rivalries in Serie A that don't have official derby names. Here are a few of them.

Juventus-Milan

• October 5: Juventus 0-0 Milan
• April 26: Milan vs. Juventus

The oldest running and most played derby in Italy, these teams have been squaring off since 1901. 

Juventus–Napoli

• December 7: Napoli vs. Juventus
• January 25: Juventus vs. Napoli

Stemming from a historic regional rivalry, this derby gained prominence in the 1980s as Napoli became genuine title threats. The rivalry has picked up steam again during the currrent decade, as Napoli have won two Serie A titles over the past three seasons and helped supplant Juventus as the dominant force in the country.

Fiorentina v. Juventus

• November 23: Fiorentina vs. Juventus
• May 17: Juventus vs. Fiorentina

Just about every team in Italy fancies themselves rivals with Juventus. However, Fiorentina's rivalry with Juve comes with drama unlike the others, with historical accusations of cheating and player-poaching fuelling the friction between the clubs and their supporters.
