With the international break putting an early stop to the Serie A season, it's an opportunity to reflect on the opening rounds of the 2025-26 campaign.
There may have only been two games played, but some rich narratives have already started to form, and following the close of the transfer window, things are only going to get even more fascinating.
DAZN News' Ash Rose looks as some lessons we've already learnt in Serie A.

Milan's new era under Massimiliano Allegri, which was meant to get the club back on track after missing out on Europe last term, began with a shock loss to newly promoted Cremonese - and it was no more than they deserved.
Yes, they did bounce back with an unconvincing win over Lecce, but Allergi will hope the deadline day arrivals of Christian Nkunku and Adrien Rabiot will get them back on track.
Inter also succumbed to defeat at the San Siro, when Christian Chivu's first league game in charge was spoiled by Udinese and Englishman Keinan Davis.
Like their rivals, they also bolstered their squad on the final day of the window but face a daunting trip to Juventus when the league resumes.
Will either have enough for a title challenge?

They are one of four teams on maximum points, along with Juventus, Roma and Cremonese, but it's Antonio Conte's men who, even at this ridiculously early stage of the season, are getting the job done.
Kevin de Bruyne has already left a mark, scoring on his debut, while new midfield partner Scott McTominay has just carried on from where he left off last season in Naples. They even showed they're win at all costs mentality as they bagged three points in the injury-time win over Cagliari.

There was much intrigue about how Roma would fare under new boss Gian Piero Gasperini this season.
After serving a long and successful tenure in his previous role at Atlanta, stepping into the capital city's cauldron was always going to be a big ask for the manager.
However, two games in, two wins and no goals conceded, and it feels like something is happening at the Stadio Olimpico and they could be more than just an outside bet for major honours this season.
