Serie A's title race took yet another twist on Sunday as the champions finally flexed their muscles with a 1-0 win over leaders Roma to leapfrog them in the table and join Milan at the top.

There were also some big-name matchwinners in and around the chasing pack, but the question is, who made our Serie A  team of the week for matchday thirteen? Ash Rose takes his pick.

Mike Maignan (Milan)

A week on from his man-of-the-match display in the Milan derby, the Frenchman continued to show why he's one of the league's best in the win over Lazio.

Maignan pulled off a top-drawer save just two minutes into the game to stop Milan from going behind and never looked like being beaten from then on.

Odilon Kossounou (Atalanta)

The backline of Atalanta kept Fiorentina quiet, with Kossounou making up one third of the sturdy back three.

The Ivorian also proved handy at the other end by opening the scoring for his team.

Amir Rrahmani (Napoli)

Never gave Evan Ferguson a sniff and was part of a Napoli unit that Roma could not breach.

The clean sheet helped the champions to a 1-0 win over their title rivals.

Fikayo Tomori (Milan)

One of the former Chelsea man's best performances of the season as he and his backline made sure of all three points against Lazio.

His display and the clean sheet saw the English defender win the Player of the Match award in the 1-0 victory.

Alberto Moreno (Como)

Still going strong in Serie A after his days at Anfield, Moreno has played a big part for Cesc Fabregas this season and put in another top performance against Sassuolo.

Topping off his marauding display down the left with the second goal in the 2-0 win.

Medon Berisha (Lecce)

A creative display from Lecce's number ten as they piled on the misery for Torino and the current bad run the Turin side are on.

Berisha set up goals for both Lassna Coulibaly and Lameck Banda to see his side move further away from the relegation scrap.

Morten Thorsby (Genoa)

A vital win for Genoa and Daniele De Rossi, who came from behind to beat Verona, with their Norwegian to thank for the win.

The midfielder netted his second goal of the season, already two more than he scored across the entire last campaign.

Charles De Ketelaere (Atalanta)

The attacking threat from Atalanta proved too much for Fiorentina, with De Ketelaere at the hub of everything.

It was his assist that sewed up the game too, providing Ademola Lookman with the goal that sealed all three points.

Lautaro Martinez (Inter)

El Toro was at his best against Pisa as Inter's talisman was the matchwinner once again, with both goals in the away win for Christian Chivu's men.

The strikes put the Argentine on six for the season, and means he's the outright leading goalscorer in this season's Serie A.

Keenan Yildiz (Juventus)

Juventus' star man shone brightest just when The Old Lady needed him.

The Turkish playmaker scored twice for Luciano Spalletti's team as they saw off Cagliari in a much-needed win.

David Neres (Napoli)

In a close-fought title battle, you need someone to take the chance when it comes, and that's exactly what Neres did against Roma.

His winning goal ten minutes before the break saw Napoli pick up all three points and join Milan at the top of the table.
