Serie A was back after the international break, and there were some massive movers at the top of the league, none more so than what transpired at the San Siro, where Milan earned the first bragging rights of the season.

But the question is, who made our Serie A team of the week for matchday twelve? Ash Rose is back and selecting his stars of the round once again.

Mike Manignan (Milan)

There's no doubt who the king of the San Siro is in the Milan derby, as the French stopper was instrumental in AC Milan's win.

He pulled off two crucial saves in the first half before saving Hakan Calhanoglu's spot-kick to make sure of bragging rights were kept in favour of Max Allegri's side.

Wesley (Roma)

The wing-back has made quite an impression since his move in the summer and put in another impressive display at Cremonese.

The Brazilian was on target in the 3-1 win, which topped off a man-of-the-match performance from the Roma defender.

Jacobo Ramon (Como)

Como put in a statement win over Torino, hitting the Turin side with five goals, one of which came from centre-back Ramon.

The goal topped off an impressive day for the Spanish defender.

Matteo Gabbia (Milan)

Gabbia has quietly been one of Milan's best performers this season, and he put in another towering display on Sunday.

The defender was imperious as the Rossoneri bested their rivals in the Milan derby.

Leo Skiri Ostigard (Genoa)

For a third straight matchday, the Norwegian makes it into the Team of the Week, with the centre-back becoming a potent weapon for Daniele Di Rossi's team.

He netted his third goal in as many games as Genoa drew 3-3 with Cagliari in the weekend's most entertaining affair.

Mateo Guendouzi (Lazio)

Lazio continued their recent run of good form with a win over Lecce, where the French midfielder was the star of the show.

He scored the opener in Rome as Maurizio Sarri's men ran out 2-0 winners.

Tommaso Pobega (Bologna)

Bologna kept up the pace with the leading pack with a comfortable win over Udinese, thanks to a brace from Pobega.

The midfielder scored twice inside five second-half minutes to cap off a top display in the 3-0 away victory.

David Neres (Napoli)

The attacking winger was at the double for Napoli as they put in a dominant display against Atalanta.

The Brazilian netted two first-half goals for the reigning champions as they ran out 3-1 winners.

Gennaro Borrelli (Cagliari)

The Cagliari forward netted two goals in the thrilling 3-3 draw with Genoa, in what was his best performance since signing for the club in the summer.

More displays and goals like this could see him become a regular fixture in De Rossi's new side.

Mateo Pellegrino (Parma)

Parma piled on the misery for Verona by inflicting another defeat on the bottom-placed side, and it was Pellegrino who did the damage.

The forward scored a goal in each half to make it seven goals in 14 games across all competitions this season.

Christian Pulisic (Milan)

Milan's main man made an immediate impact as he made his return from injury after a month on the sidelines.

The American scored the only goal of the game - his fifth of the season - to hand Milan all three points in the derby against Inter at the San Siro.
