Costa Rica are in search of their first win at a Women's World Cup as they kick off their 2023 tournament against Spain.
The Ticas made their WWC debut in 2015, where they drew twice en route to a group stage exit. They missed out on the 2019 edition, but now they return looking to improve upon their performance of eight years ago.
Unfortunately for Costa Rica, their toughest test of the group stage comes right out of the gates as the Spaniards are outside favourites to win the entire tournament, and should easily top Group C. Spain made it to the round of 16 four years ago, but expectations have risen and an exit at the same stage would be a disappointment for the rising side.
Will Spain collect all three points in this match or will Costa Rica steal a result?
Here's how you can watch.
The match will take place at Wellington Regional Stadium.
