Who are the American players in the Champions League this season?

The Champions League has returned for another year of action, and there are several American players involved in this year's edition.

Following the league phase draw, seven USMNT-eligible players now know their opposition as they look to navigate through the prestigious continental championship.

Here are all the players from the United States set to play the 2025-26 season in the Champions League.

Who are the American players in the Champions League this season?

With the months counting down until the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will be mostly hosted in the United States, several potential members of Mauricio Pochettino's national side will take part in this year's Champions League.

Weston McKennie (Juventus)

Having joined Juventus five years ago, McKennie has made himself an indispensible part of the squad under multiple coaches.

The midfielder, known for his dogged workrate and ability to sniff out the odd goal, has made over 20 Champions League appearances for the Bianconeri and counting.

Tim Weah (Marseille)

The 25-year-old recently joined Marseille on loan from Juventus and looks to have an immediate impact with the French giants after making 78 appearances in all competitions over the last two seasons in Italy.

Weah, son of Liberia legend George Weah, made nine appearances in last year's Champions League, scoring once.

Folarin Balogun (Monaco)

New York-born, London-raised Balogun found a home in Monaco after coming up through the Arsenal system as a youth.

Now 24, the striker is still looking for his first Champions League goal after making three appearances in the competition last season.

Johnny Cardoso (Atletico Madrid)

One of the newest members of Atletico Madrid, Cardoso made his name in Brazil before impressing at Real Betis last season.

The 23-year-old hopes to make his Champions League debut this month.

Sergino Dest & Ricardo Pepi (PSV Eindhoven)

A full-back known for his attacking flair, Dest has a wealth of experience in the Champions League having previously played for Ajax, Barcelona and Milan.

With PSV since 2023, the 24-year-old will be one of Peter Bosz's key men in this year's continental competition.

A former MLS Young Player of the Year, Pepi has scored frequently since moving to the Eredivisie in 2022 with Groningen, with 30 goals in 74 league appearances between Groningen and PSV.

The 22-year-old also has four Champions League goals to his name and looks to add more this season.

Timothy Chandler (Eintracht Frankfurt)

Now 35, Chandler hasn't suited up for the USMNT since 2016.

However, the versatile player remains on the books at Eintracht Frankfurt more than two decades after joining their youth set-up, and he could add to his Champions League appearances this season.
