Moroccan side Wydad will be hoping it's third time lucky in this expanded version of the FIFA Club World Cup, having appeared in two previous tournaments and failed to register a win.

The 2025 competition hasn't been too kind to the side from Casablanca either, having been drawn in a group with two big European names, but it will be a chance for them to try and cause an upset in the States.

Location

The club is based in Morocco’s largest city, Casablanca.

They share the city with Raja CA and are one of three clubs to have never been relegated from the top flight.

Origin

The club was founded in Casablanca on 8 May, 1937 by seven people, who were led by Mohamed Benjelloun Touimi. As all of its founders were Moroccan, the club earned the nickname 'Wydad of the Nation'.
