Leon Edwards' most recent fight left its mark on Arnold Allen.
Taking on Sean Brady at UFC London, Edwards was the favourite. And for good reason — Edwards was the former UFC welterweight champion fighting on home soil.
But in the fourth round of that bout, Brady made the British star tap out. Allen, the UFC's seventh-ranked featherweight and compatriots to Edwards, spoke to DAZN News about the result.
"Brady had a good game plan," Allen said. "He just pressured him from the start. He didn't let Leon get into it.
"I wasn't there in the camp, so I didn't see how the training was going and what the game plan was and all those things. But yeah, Leon's a very slick, smooth striker. He's a counter-striker."
It was a second straight defeat for Edwards, having lost his belt to Belal Muhammad in July 2024. Arnold feels as though Brady's aggression undid the former champion.
"When a guy pressures and just gets in his face, it's not ideal," Arnold said. "So he needs to make some adjustments, maybe more pressure, maybe more aggression coming forward. And yeah, I think that was the problem."
