Fabian Edwards was in his brother Leon's corner at UFC London, when the former UFC welterweight champion lost to Sean Brady by submission in the fourth round.
Now Leon and Fabian Edwards are back in training ahead of the latter's next fight, a PFL Middleweight Tournament quarter-final bout against Impa Kasanganay. At the April 18 fight, which can be seen live in select regions on DAZN, Leon will be in Fabian's corner.
When asked by DAZN News about his brother's defeat at UFC London, Fabian Edwards explained that competition is fierce at the elite level.
"With the top five, I believe everyone can beat each other," Fabian Edwards said. "And obviously, the change of an opponent in four weeks. It happens.
"So he's brave and that's just how we do it. Go back and keep improving. So then, next one."
In particular, Fabian Edwards talked about what's next for the former UFC welterweight champion.
"For now, we're just training, improve, make whatever changes are needed, and then we'll start looking at what's next," he said. "So at the moment, we’re just focusing on my fight, and I'm training."
At 33, Leon Edwards is now ranked third in the UFC welterweight division, behind Brady and Shavkat Rakhmonov.
